NSU motorcycle made in Neckarsulm, Germany in 1905 by a company that started as a manufacturer of knitting machines (Neckarsulmer Strickmaschinen Union). It featured a single cylinder engine of 330 cc capacity (about 2.5-3.0 horsepower) and was very popular because it was one of the first motorcycles to offer a 2-speed transmission. Two ships tied up to the wrecked and submerged hull of SS Guvernoren, a Norwegian whale oil tanker that ran aground in November 1921 near Cape Carysfort in the Falkland Islands.
